1. Our accessibility goal
Better Credit Course aims to make credit and debt education accessible to people with a range of abilities. Our goal is to improve the website and learning materials so visitors can understand information, navigate pages, and use the course without unnecessary barriers.
2. Standards and current status
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA are a reference for accessibility improvements. This is a goal, not a certification or a statement of full conformance. A comprehensive accessibility audit of the website, checkout, and all course materials has not been completed, and some barriers may remain.
3. Features currently included
The website includes skip-to-content links, headings to organize content, descriptive text for the instructor photograph, keyboard-operable navigation and expandable sections, visible keyboard focus indicators, and layouts that adapt to smaller screens. The homepage reduces decorative motion when a visitor’s device requests reduced motion. These features do not establish that every page or interaction is fully accessible.
4. Video and downloadable materials
The homepage video has standard playback controls, but its transcript panel currently contains a placeholder rather than a complete transcript. A caption track is not currently supplied with that video. Captions, transcripts, and the accessibility of the course’s downloadable worksheets, letters, and scripts have not been fully verified. Accessible alternatives cannot yet be guaranteed for every item.
5. External websites and services
Enrollment takes place on a separate checkout website. Payment tools, course-access platforms, and other external services may have different accessibility features and limitations. We cannot confirm their conformance through this statement. If an external service prevents you from enrolling or learning, please identify the service and the step where you encountered difficulty.
6. Reporting an accessibility barrier
When reporting a problem, include the page address or course item, what you were trying to do, and what prevented you from doing it. If useful, include your browser, device, or assistive technology and your preferred format for a response. Do not include Social Security numbers, full account numbers, passwords, or sensitive financial documents. You do not need to disclose a disability or medical information.
7. Reviewing feedback and requests
Accessibility feedback can help identify barriers and prioritize improvements. You may request an alternative format or assistance with a specific item, but availability and timing must be confirmed individually. This statement does not promise a particular response time or that every requested format is currently available.
8. Updates
This statement may be updated as the website and course materials change or accessibility issues are reviewed. The date above identifies the latest version; it is not the date of a completed accessibility audit.
9. Contact and related information
Visit our contact page for current contact information. Its form currently validates entries but does not deliver messages. A working accessibility contact is still needed: [Add accessibility email or other verified contact method]. Until that is supplied, this website does not provide a functioning channel for receiving accessibility requests.
